Evan Leutwiler to helm Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Pool Bar & Grill

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino announces Evan Luetwiler as chef de cuisine at it’s new Pool Bar & Grill, one of the newest additions unveiled at the resort’s expansion.

Leutwiler was born in Hilton Head, South Carolina and began cooking in fine dining restaurants as a teenager while growing up in Chattanooga. His love of the kitchen is a result of growing up in a food and wine connoisseur family. He moved to Los Angeles to pursue his culinary passions after graduating college with his B.A in Philosophy with a minor in Spanish from the University of Tennessee.

His experiences led him to working with James Beard-award winning chefs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo. He served as a line cook at their Animal restaurant, special event chef for their Carmelized Productions catering company, and a member of their opening team for other concepts Son of A Gun and Trois Mec.

Leutwiler had the good fortune of being the private chef for celebs like actress Demi Moore and late-night host Jimmy Kimmel. While being a private chef, he managed to be the assistant to BBQ legend Adam Perry Lang, where he was in charge of several pop-ups and traveling barbecue events.

Fluent in Spanish, Leutwiler traveled to Colombia and Argentina as a way of cultivating an appreciation for South American cuisine, wine-making, and culture. He spent the last couple years as a restaurant consultant in Charleston prior to joining Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Pool Bar & Grill as chef de cuisine.

The Pool Bar & Grill is a casual, full-service poolside spot located conveniently between the West Hotel Tower and the new event center. The eatery is open everyday from 7am-11am for breakfast with lunch and dinner service beginning at 11am until sundown. The artisanal menu features dishes from light frittatas and fresh salads to Avocado Toast and Mexican Shrimp Ceviche. Guests can relax by the pool and enjoy craft cocktails.
