Tampa Bay hotel rooftop bars offer Hurricane Ian relief this Thursday

Fortunately for my household, we made it out pretty well during last week’s hurricane. Our power went out for 5 minutes and all we have are a bunch of branches in our yard. Others south of Tampa Bay weren’t as lucky as we were, of course.

Four Tampa Bay hotel rooftop bars are helping with Hurricane Ian relief efforts Thursday, October 6 for their “Raise the Roof for Hurricane Ian Relief”. EDGE Rooftop Cocktail Lounge, Hi-Fi Rooftop Bar, Vantage Rooftop Bar at The Karol Hotel and Skybox Rooftop Bar at the Residence Inn Tampa Wesley Chapel are donating 50% of all sales from the night to the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida to support those affected by Hurricane Ian.

The relief effort will be between 4 p.m.-midnight at the various rooftop bars.

Here’s the info for each Tampa Bay hotel rooftop bar:

According to Harry Chapin Food Bank’s website, they’re “the largest hunger-relief nonprofit and the only Feeding American member” serving Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Lee counties. The organization started as Lee County Food Cooperative in 1983 before changing their name (after a couple other prior name changes) to their current name in 1994. They became a member of Feeding America in 1990. The food bank feeds more than 250,000 people every month through one of their various food programs including the In-School Pantry Program, Partner Agency Program, and Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP).
