Epicurean Hotel opens new $21 million expansion project
The award-winning Epicurean Hotel opened the doors to its $21 million dollar expansion, allowing area foodies and other more to love in Tampa’s Hyde Park neighborhood.
Epicurean’s newest expansion ads 51 new guest rooms and suites plus a private lobby, meeting space, and rooftop terrace. The four-story building also features a crispy white exterior, historic façade, and green landscaping. Two fully restored apartment building are slated to open later this spring.
“This addition really elevates the streetscape of South Howard, which has become a focal point of Tampa’s booming culinary scene thanks to Bern’s Steak House, Haven, Epicurean Hotel and others,” said Joe Collier, President and Founder, Mainsail Lodging & Development. “The added accommodations will allow us to better meet market demand for our rooms, which has consistently outpaced our supply, particularly for high-demand suites.”
Newest accommodations include 31 standard king rooms, eight deluxe king rooms, three two-room suites, and one junior suite. Eight historical apartments opening in the spring were swapped into suites with separate dining and living areas plus kitchenette, king bed, and sleeper sofa. The apartments feature private balconies overlooking Howard Ave.
Guests at the Epicurean Hotel have access to amenities offered in both buildings including the culinary classroom Epicurean Theatre, the signature restaurant Élevage SoHo Kitchen & Bar, rooftop bar EDGE Rooftop Cocktail Lounge, Bern’s Fine Wine & Spirits wine shop, the full-service Evangeline spa, Chill Bros. Scoop Shop, and 5,200 square feet of flexible event space.
