Ybor City is slowly becoming more well-known for more than just cigars. There’s plenty of bars, restaurants, and other food establishments opening (and closing unfortunately) all the time. It’s still been able to keep its Old Tampa vibes while remaining current and popping. This spring, a new concept is coming soon to enhance the area.

Multi-experience concept Ten Rooms is slated to open during the spring in Ybor City. The space will feature upscale dining, two bars, retail shops, a café, and more. It’s website describes the space as “a creative food & retail hub offering a thoughtful mix of art, dining experiences, shopping, small bites, and private event spaces, attentively bridging elements from Centro Ybor’s past, present, and future.”

The partners behind Ten Rooms are Tampa Bay food & beverage vet Ro Patel, known for Ciro’s Speakeasy and Anise Global Gastro Bar; and experienced restaurant operator and sommelier Zach Pace, who has been involved with San Francisco restaurants Lazy Bear and Aphotic.

According to a press release, Patel and Pace will offer top-tier cuisine in El Centro Español de Tampa, which was originally used as a clubhouse in the early 1900s.

Here’s what’s to come at Ten Rooms:

• Bar Martinez, a bar/restaurant specializing in American fine dining while featuring southeastern and European influences. The name honors Vicente Martinez Ybor, founder of Ybor City, and is a nod to the Martinez cocktail, the precursor to the modern-day Martini. The menu will offer a dry-aged beef program and culinary partnerships with farms and ranches across the state, region and country.
• Geneveive the Cat, the sister bar space featuring cocktails on tap crafted by Founder & Managing Partner Ro Patel.
• The Shop at Ten Rooms, a boutique retail and art space with rotating vendors, resident artists, unique gifting, specialty items and lifestyle goods.
• The Café at Ten Rooms, a modern coffee shop and bakery serving pressed juices, French baked goods and savory bites from morning to afternoon.
