Bern’s Steak House partners with CASS Contemporary for limited edition Código 1530 bottles, cocktails
Bern’s Steak House teamed up with CASS Contemporary earlier this year to unveil specially crafted cocktails and limited edition Código 1530 Tequila bottles. Each bottle features an exclusive label designed by renowned CASS artist Paola Delfin. The collaboration was introduced this year at the Haven Art Brunch as a highlight of Bern’s Winefest.
The exclusive bottles feature carefully crafted tequilas, including a Blanco ($95) finished in a Sauvignon Blanc barrel. This tequila boasts a floral and herbaceous smell with notes of white stone fruit and pear. Tequila enthusiasts alike can enjoy the Rosa Reposado ($105), aged in Cabernet barrels and transferred to sherry barrels. It presents a fresh floral smell with notes rich with plums, red berries, and pomegranate.
Paola Delfin has gotten plenty of acclaim as a Mexico-based artist. Her artwork was an ideal choice for this inaugural tequila project, seamlessly blending culinary excellence with contemporary art while offering a unique experience for both tequila connoisseurs and lovers of art. Delfin’s work for the Código 1530 Tequila labels is inspired by ‘Trust,’ which portrays a young woman in an agave field, symbolizing purity and nature. The mural can be found at Bern’s Steak House’s sister restaurant, Haven Tampa.
“The theme of ‘Trust,’ inspired by Paola Delfin’s mural at Haven, guided this collaboration. We sought a tequila that embodied purity of taste and aligned with Paola’s artwork. The result is a collection that celebrates both art and exceptional tequila” says Nate Wilson, Bern’s Steak House Director of Spirits.
If you find yourself down at Haven for a meal, these cocktails from the Art Brunch are available:
– Buzzworthy Espresso Martini ($20), featuring Código Blanco Rosa 1530 and Dorda Coconut Liqueur
– Straight Outta Tampa ($17), a celery margarita twist with Código Blanco Bern’s Single Barrel and smoked jalapeno agave. (this drink is on the menu and used a different Tequila, so the Código must be requested)
