Orlando’s Lake Nona Town Center proudly announces the opening of Before It Melts by Tavistock Restaurant Collection, which is a novel ice cream shop meshing craftsmanship with childhood nostalgia. This sweet journey continues to delight guests at its expanded brick-and-mortar location next to Park Pizza & Brewing Co. Before It Melts joins popular eateries such as Chroma Modern Bar + Kitchen and Bosphorus, alongside boutiques, hotels, public art, and event venues.
“We are thrilled to welcome Before It Melts to Town Center, offering guests a delightful new experience,” says Greg Walker, Managing Director at Tavistock Restaurant Collection. “Expanding from Boxi Park, we are excited to present our unique creations crafted by our talented pastry chefs, such as our cake shakes, Blackout Taco, as well as a few vegan and dairy-free options. This addition perfectly complements the growing mix of dining and entertainment options available in the Lake Nona community.”
Before It Melts offers premium farmstand ice cream made from Wisconsin dairy with 12 diverse flavors including two dairy-free options. Guests can enjoy their ice cream in a cone, cup, or shake, with a variety of toppings from classic sprinkles to Oreo crumbs, and a choice of strawberry, caramel, or chocolate sauces.
Flavor offerings are just as diverse. Classics like Dutch Maid Vanilla are made with Wisconsin cream and pure vanilla, Zanzibar Chocolate with three kinds of cocoa and Strawberry with fresh whole strawberries. Take a risk with more adventurous flavors like Birthday Cake with sprinkles and buttercream frosting, Super Human with tie-dye ice cream and cherry, blue moon, and vanilla; and the ever-popular Cookie Dough, Iced Latte made with real espresso for the coffee lovers. Looking for something a bit more interesting? Savor Blueberry Cheesecake packed with chunks of cheesecake, Mint Avalanche infused with cookies and Andes Crème De Menthe, and Yippee Skippee with peanut butter and pretzels. Non-dairy options are Electric Watermelon Italian Ice and oat milk-based Ultimate Oreo Oat.
A visit isn’t complete without trying the signature Blackout Taco, which gained Instagram notoriety for its charcoal vanilla ice cream with salted caramel ganache, served in a crisp chocolate taco shell and adorned with black sprinkles. Don’t miss out on one of their delicious Cake Shakes: the signature Birthday Cake Shake with birthday cake ice cream, yellow cake, rainbow sprinkles, and topped with whipped cream, or the Chocolate Cake Shake with chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake, chocolate sprinkles, and whipped cream.
Adults can elevate the dessert experience with dessert cocktails and alcohol “pour-ins”. For an extra $5, add a shot of booze of including Baileys, Grand Marnier, Kahlúa, Whipped Cream Vodka, Spiced Rum, Coconut Rum, and Bourbon to any cone, cup, or shake. Bring the pooches for a specially crafted whipped cream pup cup topped with bone crumble.
Before it Melts is located at 6941 Lake Nona Blvd, Suite 200 at the Lake Nona Town Center. The ice cream shop will be open Monday through Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
