Tampa Marriott Water Street celebrates 25 years as one of the first major developments of Water Street Tampa. The hotel has been important in the city’s evolution into the destination it is today. In honor of the big celebration, the hotel celebrates with several activities including giveaways, experiences, and nostalgic throwbacks.

“During the last quarter century, Tampa Marriott Water Street has been a home away from home where leisure and group travelers could make unforgettable memories. We take great pride in being part of this community’s history, continuing to evolve as guest needs do,” said General Manager Ron McAnaugh. “In 2019 the property underwent a $50 million transformation that reimagined almost every aspect of the hotel, and this year we are proud to continue our evolution with the introduction of our latest al fresco dining concept, Riverwalk Terrace.”

Tampa Marriott Water Street celebrates its anniversary alongside couples who chose the hotel as the perfect spot to say “I Do” in its first year. One couple, Kim and Howard, have been invited to join the festivities.

“We envisioned an outdoor wedding by the water, and Tampa Marriott Water Street delivered the perfect setting,” Kim and Howard shared. “Our celebration included an outdoor ceremony and a beautifully orchestrated cocktail reception – all made seamless by the hotel’s dedicated team, who went above and beyond to make sure we felt special and taken care of. • Silver Year Spotlight – Couples celebrating their own 25th anniversary are invited to share their wedding photos on Instagram for a chance to be featured on the hotel’s social media. Submit photos via direct message to @marriottwaterstreet.
• Anniversary Room Roulette – Unbeknownst to guests, 25 rooms will be randomly selected and transformed into Silver Anniversary-themed guestrooms. Guests checking into these rooms will be gifted 25,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.
• Dueling Pianos in the Lobby (May 24, 2025) – The lobby transforms into a piano battleground for the newest Water Street Collection tradition.
• Y2K-Inspired Cocktail Menu – Specialty martinis from the early 2000s, including Cosmos and Appletinis, will be available at the hotel’s dining venues throughout the anniversary celebration.
• Champions Throwback Weekend – The weekend pays homage to Water Street’s original sports bar, featuring nostalgic dining specials and a showcase of vintage sports memorabilia.
• Poolside 2000s Trivia – Guests can test their early 2000s knowledge with themed trivia by the pool, with opportunities to win prizes throughout the weekend.
