5 Fall 2018 Color Trends and How to Wear Them
This may be the first fall season in a while where you don’t only see the same jewel-or darker-toned colors. Summer didn’t want to go anywhere so it looks like part of the season crept over into the fall season. Still expect to see the usual darker colors but the amount of brightness from the summer is a great way to add some contrast to your darker looks.
For some reason, Florida still thinks it’s okay to have days with highs in the 90s so it’ll be a while before we can even think about wearing anything remotely heavy. Yea, it’s hot and humid but I don’t doubt that a few of the fall 2018 color trends are already in our closets.
Pink
The color pink showed up in several runway shows during NYFW including Jason Woo and Carolina Herrera. I think the color brings a tropical feel to any outfit; not only is the coat plush but, with all the cold holiday parties happening in a couple months, you’re definitely standing out amongst the crowd of dark colors.
Purple
Pantone named Ultraviolet the color of 2018 so we’ve been seeing see purple everywhere. Paisley is a classic print of the fall season so let this shoe stand on it’s own by going minimal with the rest of the look.
Blue
Blue is one of my favorite colors. Yes, it’s cold and drab but this blue bag is only going to remind you of the warm water of the beach and all the fun summer days from a few months ago. Wear this bag to lift your spirits when you’re not feeling the freezing temps.
Orange
What better way to really pack a punch than pairing an oversized orange sweater and sequins for an interesting mix of casual and dressy. Switch out the accessories for a simple day-to-night transition.
Yellow
Match the falling leaves with this mustard yellow dress. It does give off a vintage-like vibe too. I’d wear this just like the photo with a solid colored turtleneck, tights, and boots(either booties or knee-high).
