A couple of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa’s fine dining are being commended once again for their exquisite and extensive wine lists.

Wine Spectator Magazine awarded Council Oak Steaks & Seafood and The Rez Grill their 2019 Award of Excellence. The Award of Excellence recognizes wine lists with interesting offerings, appeals to wine lovers, and pairs well with the cuisine. Council Oak’s extensive wine list, featuring 300 wines from 13 countries, along with Rez Grill’s 100-bottle wine menu are recognized for their brilliance. The staff at each restaurant is trained in all aspects of proper wine service to meet the high standards and qualify for the award.

2019 is the 12th year in a row Council Oaks & Seafood is honored while The Rez Grill is recognized for the 2nd year.

In order to receive this accolade, restaurants immerse their staff in an intense six-week training program with wine training being a key part. Regularly scheduled info meetings like visiting wine experts who share their knowledge in special seminars. Food servers are educated on the wine and tested regularly.
