Armature Works launches relief drive for Hurricane Dorian victims

Hurricane Dorian swept through the Bahamas and devastated the entire population. Imagine having huge waves crashing against the windows and the subsequent flooding that occurs. We’ve seen all the photos, videos, and social media posts all over the internet. A few Tampa restaurants decided to create an effort to help out victims in need.

Armature Works’ Hurricane Dorian efforts support all of Bahamas and its residents. AW Mercantile, located inside Armature Works, is acting as a makeshift collection center for baby supply items daily beginning at 9am until 7pm until Monday, September 10th.

Those wanting to support the relief efforts can also donate items at other Tampa Bay area restaurants including Boca Kitchen Bar and Market at both of their Tampa and Brandon locations, Ciro’s Speakeasy and Supper Club, or Sea Critters Café in Pass-A-Grille.

“Our family often visits to the Bahamas with Green Turtle and Hope Town being some of our favorite places to go and have met some of the nicest people there,” commented, Chas Bruck, Co-Owner for The Heights District, Armature Works and BE1 Concepts. “We feel for all those affected by Hurricane Dorian and wanted to provide immediate help to those families in need, most specifically young children.”

Everyone who donates receives a voucher for 10% off at all Armature Works restaurants and the other area restaurants. Donations are delivered to SOL Relief.

Chas and Taryn Bruck, of The Bruck Family Foundation, are matching any donated items during the Armature Works Hurricane Dorian drive.
