Datz is one of the quirkier restaurants in Tampa Bay. A menu with items like The Cheesy Todd, Pork Shank Redemption, and Dumb Cluck, you’re for sure gonna have a good time. They’ve even done special, limited-time items like their Wonder Woman-inspired Amazon Warrior Burger.

Datz has been busy the last few years, opening their second and third Datz locations plus adding Dr. BBQ, Bougie Pizza, and Donovan’s Modern American Meatery to their list.

In honor of their 12th birthday, the restaurant is celebrating with a whole shebang on National Cheat Day, which is Monday, January 25th. Owners Roger and Suzanne Perry created the holiday back in 2017 and will receive a proclamation from the City of Tampa designating the day as one for everyone to indulge a little and treat ourselves.

This year, Datz is encouraging Tampa Bay locals to create their own ultimate cheat day donut and share it on social media using the hashtag #DatzACheatDay. The winner receives free donuts for year (who wouldn’t want that?!). You may even see a few other donut entries on the menu this year.

Submissions are open now until National Cheat Day when the winner is chosen.
