Hawkers Asian Street Food and Sal Y Mar Rooftop Bar offering weekend brunch starting this Saturday

One thing I look forward to on the weekend is brunch. After working 40 long hours at work, it’s something I enjoy doing to decompress and relax. My favorite part about brunch, outside of food of course, is choosing which cute cocktail to pair with my meal. I usually go for something that’s colorful and sweet…you know I gotta do it for the gram! Sal Y Mar Rooftop Bar at Midtown Tampa and Hawkers Asian Street Food in St. Pete, two Tampa Bay restaurants, are adding themselves to the array of brunch offerings in the area.

Take a trip across the bridge to St. Pete’s restaurant haven Central Ave. for a bite at Hawkers Asian Street Food. There, brunch is more than just a meal but “a state of mind”. Their brunch menu combines Asian breakfast faves like the Char Siu Baos with specialty cocktails like the Butterfly Effect. Want to add a few extras to your table? Order a side of curry tots or congee cheese grits. Reservations aren’t available at the moment but they do recommend guests join a waitlist for the day they plan to “level up, squad up, and brunch up”.

Hawkers Asian Street Food is located at 1235 Central Ave. Their brunch is Saturday-Sunday 11 a.m.-3 p.m. also.

The brunch menu at Sal Y Mar Rooftop Bar has items like a breakfast charcuterie board with berries, honeycomb, and various meats and cheeses; fruity French toast, and a frittata Tulum. The rooftop bar is offering a prix-fixe menu for brunch-goers for $39 per person, which includes one starter, tapa, side, and unlimited mimosas, Bellinis, or wine punch. It’s summer and we’re outside now so make sure you make a reservation online or by phone. Valet parking is $5.
