5 Cocktails to Make for National Cocktail Day 2022
National Cocktail Day 2022 is March 24 so cheers to everyone like me who can’t resist having a cute, Instagrammable cocktail anytime they’re at a restaurant. Robert always laughs at me whenever I order one because he says I wait until it’s watered-down to finally drink it. TBH, I’m just waiting for my meal to come out so I can get my picture featuring the whole thing. I don’t want to take the pic and not have the drink!
Anywho, there’s a couple places in Tampa with National Cocktail Day 2022 plans:
American Social
Tampa’s American Social is offering discounted, hand-crafted cocktails all day! From 11:30 a.m.-1 a.m., choose from an array of AmSo cocktails from sweet and spicy to light and tropical for $8 each. Cocktails on the menu include the classics Hibiscus Mule, Grey Line, or the Cactus Pear Mojito.

Hotel Haya
The popular Ybor City hotel welcomes guests and locals to celebrate the big day with a twist on a classic cocktail: the Watermelon Pina Mojito, a seamless blend of tropical, curated flavors of watermelon, muddled mint, and pineapple. Stop by their Flor Fina restaurant for a sip of the mojito priced at $12.

But if you’re looking for something to make at home, here are some options:
Watermelon Moscow Mule
A sweeter take on the Moscow Mule, this was a fun drink to make plus it paired well with the myriad chicken wings and other Super Bowl foods Robert made that day.
Jungle Bird
If you’re a real mixologist, why not try a colorful, tropical and sweet cocktail. The dehydrated pineapple and saffron is a good garnish to contrast a bit with the drink.
Red Wine Sangria
You can’t go wrong with a classic sangria; it’s one of the ultimate drinks for a girl’s night in. Personally, I like to sip on a couple glasses when I get the craving.
Strawberry Daiquiri
One fruit I really enjoy eating are strawberries and who doesn’t enjoy a frozen alcoholic drink occasionally? Daiquiries take me back to dinners on cruise ships or a night in with Robert.
Vodka Champagne
A fancier cocktail for National Cocktail Day 2022. If I made this, I’d make sure I’m wearing my finest silk robe and bask in all the luxury in my home…on the couch…in front of the tv watching The First 48.
