Tampa wins big at 2024 MICHELIN Guide ceremony

At last night’s MICHELIN Guide to Florida launch event, restaurants from Tampa, Orlando, and Miami shined bright.

26 restaurants were awarded Stars by anonymous MICHELIN Guide inspectors, with L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon Miami keeping the top spot  with two MICHELIN Stars. This year’s selection includes a total of 149 restaurants and 38 types of cuisine with the new Stars including Japanese, Peruvian, Vietnamese and Scandinavian.

“Since the arrival of the MICHELIN Guide to Florida in 2022, there has been significant growth in the state’s local culinary scene, proving Florida is a leading gastronomic destination for travelers near and far,” said Gwendal Poullennec, the International Director of the MICHELIN Guides. “In addition to the nine new restaurants awarded one MICHELIN Star, we are thrilled to announce Green Star restaurants in the selection for the first time, showcasing these restaurants’ commitment to a more sustainable gastronomy.”

In Tampa specifically, MICHELIN Stars were awarded to Ebbe and Kōsen, which adds to the city’s list of MICHELIN restaurants including Lilac, Rocca, and Koya (all of which retained their Stars). In addition to Stars, Tampa Bay included Streetlight Taco to its Bib Gourmand list and Predalina, Supernatural Food & Wine, and The Pearl earned their spots on the MICHELIN Guide’s recommended restaurant list.

“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the exceptional restaurants recognized in the MICHELIN Guide,” said Santiago C. Corrada, President and CEO of Visit Tampa Bay. “This achievement solidifies Tampa Bay as a vibrant and dynamic culinary scene, which continues to captivate and delight diners from near and far.”
