Tampa’s Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar opens new Napa-inspired restaurant, wine bar next week

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is one of my favorite restaurants in Tampa. I’m always recommending it to everyone…ESPECIALLY their Tomahawk Tuesdays. I mean, a big ol’ steak, sides, appetizers, and desserts for inexpensive?! It’s such a deal.

Anywho, for the last few months, the restaurant has been undergoing construction of a newer location and it’s finally complete. The new location opens its doors for a re-Grand Opening on September 9. The 13,000 sq.-ft. space was designed to create an immersive experience blending their Cali roots with Tampa’s coastal living. Guests can expect to have all their senses charmed as soon as you walk in for your reservation:

  • Sight: With Napa Valley as inspo, guests will see a dramatic porte-cochere and striking 16-ft floor to ceiling glass windows upon entry, flooding the space with natural light. A glass wine vault in the center of the restaurant houses 2,500 bottles from around the world, behind the new Rooted Wine Bar by Fleming’s.
  • Touch: Mixed textiles add warmth and luxury from the soft cork wallpaper featured at the wine bar to the custom embroidered seating with Fleming’s signature ‘F’ emblem and the premium semi-serrated steak knives.
  • Smell: Newport at Night, a new branded signature scent, is infused all throughout the restaurant. Fun fact: the scent is named after the cool, coastal nights that surround Fleming’s first restaurant in Newport Beach, CA, and has an alluring blend of salted santal, woody greens, jasmine, sage, and amber.
  • Taste: Several new menus, the Dinner Menu, Lunch Menu, a new Social Hour and Bar Menu, feature distinct flavors, which were expertly curated by Chef Partner Brandon Grady, who has been with Fleming’s for more than 10 years. New and notable for dinner: A5 Japanese Wagyu, Australian Wagyu with a tableside Shaved Black Truffle, Gorgonzola Gnocchi, local Gulf Grouper, and fresh Bedford Scallops. The Tampa Flagship will introduce Rooted Wine Bar by Fleming’s. The wine bar offers an elevated wine pairing menu, customizable wine flights, guided wine tastings hosted by an expert Wine Steward. Small plates like the Imperial Kaluga Caviar Service, Lobster Ravioli and fresh Oysters with bourbon barrel smoked trout roe can be found here.
  • Sound: Enjoy live music from a variety of talented local musicians, offering lively beats that complement dinner every night. Social Hour at the main full-service bar will be from 3-6pm daily, along with bar bites and hand-crafted cocktails in an adjacent lounge with cozy soft-seating.

“This is a special moment for Fleming’s – this spectacular new restaurant embodies our brand’s relaxed luxury philosophy, infused with superior culinary offerings, expanded wine experiences and unrivaled hospitality,” said Sheilina Henry, President of Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. “To celebrate this milestone and our commitment to the community, our grand opening will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay.”

A $10,000 donation will be given to help Big Brothers Big Sisters continue their mission of helping empower Tampa’s youth to their highest potential.

The new Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar will sit at 4342 W Boy Scout Blvd. across from International Plaza.
