OddFellows Ice Cream Co. to open new shop at The Shops at Wiregrass

Acclaimed ice cream brand OddFellows Ice Cream Co. is bringing its imaginative flavors to Wesley Chapel with a brand-new shop at The Shops at Wiregrass.

This location marks OddFellows’ first franchise in Florida and its second Florida location overall, which is a major milestone in the company

Known for crafting creative flavors with texture and taste, OddFellows earned widespread praise from chefs, critics, and ice cream lovers. Stephen Colbert called the ice cream brand “a sucker punch to your tastebuds… fantastic,” while acclaimed chef David Chang raved, “OddFellows’ ice creams are so fcking good*.” Food visionary Christina Tosi praised them as “clever and insanely delicious,” and ZAGAT labeled the team “mad ice cream scientists.”

The Wesley Chapel shop features OddFellows’ beloved classics alongside a rotating selection of 20 imaginative flavors. Guests can expect cult favorites like Sprinkles, Coffee Crunch, and Chocolate Chunk, as well as seasonal ice creams like Marshmallow Chocolate Cake, Banana S’mores, Salted Caramel Toffee, Miso Cherry, and Ube Marshmallow. Vegan guests can delighted in options like the Coconut Mango Sticky Rice and all-natural fruit-forward popsicles (perfect for Florida’s hot and humid days, of course)

Besides ice cream, the shop will serve soft serve, espresso, plus more vegan options, offering something for everyone.

For the unfamiliar: OddFellows began in Brooklyn, New York when Co-Founder Mohan Kumar wanted to satisfy his pregnant wife Holiday’s craving for savory ice cream. A custom creation from Sam Mason, a James Beard Award nominee and former pastry chef at NYC’s legendary wd~50, did the trick. The trio teamed up to launch what would become OddFellows Ice Cream Co. Over a decade later, Mason’s recipes produced over 600 flavors.

The New York Times has called OddFellows “wildly inventive,” while Vanity Fair dubbed it “famously oddball.”

“We are excited to expand into Florida with our unique ice cream experience. We believe Wesley Chapel is the perfect landing spot for the brand. It’s an area where people appreciate quality, small-batch products crafted with intention; and we’re excited for the community to come in and taste classics and flavors they never dreamed would be in ice cream! Plus, we have super refreshing ice pops for those hot, humid Florida days,” says Mohan Kumar, Co-Owner of OddFellows Ice Cream Co.

Before their opening, OddFellows celebrated the new school year.

“See you at The Shops at Wiregrass on Saturday, August 2nd from 10:00-1:00 for the Dillard’s Back to School Fashion Show!,” says the post.
