Can’t believe it’s already time to bring out the layers and thicker items in our closets. Feels like the warmer temperatures just started yesterday. When the weather drops, be prepared with these fall/winter 2026 fashion trends:

Boho

Bohemian-style clothing pieces have been trending for a few seasons now so is it safe to say it’s here to stay? This fall, the usual boho pieces (think ruffles and other key prints) have darker, more gothic vibes. Those maxi dresses and skirts from spring and summer you wore? Pair those with flowy tops or oversized layering pieces. I think this season I’m wearing my white maxi skirt with tracksuit jackets, hoodies, and my favorite pair of black riding boots I’ve had since high school. I’m all for wearing pieces throughout all the seasons. I’m casually on the hunt for a vintage fringe jacket (I don’t care the color) that I’d pair also with maxi skirts or flowy pants.

Roaring 20’s

The 1920s, not 2020s. I will say the Flapper Girlies during that era were cute. This season, look for drop waists, long pearl necklaces, and lots of lace. If you’re not interested in the frilliness, the best way to be on-trend is a simple slip dress. I’m obsessed with them and they really do go day or night. I’ve worn mine with heels on a night out or with sneakers when going to work.

This Feel Nice 

I wish I lived somewhere that actually gets cold so I can wear the NASTIEST fur coat. For this season, I want to find a new leather jacket and I’ve been on the hunt (casually) for a fringe jacket that’ll go with the boho vibes too. Mixing textures can be tricky but I let the piece with the texture be the focal piece. Suede skirt? I’d pair it with a silk/satin or lace top like a camisole and a leather boot. Other classic textures that trend every year are tweeds,

Maximalism 

The Quiet Luxury trend is slowly dwindling over the seasons so it’s a bit refreshing to constantly see the bold colors and prints trending this season. I would describe my personal style as a bit maximalist. I enjoy all the colors, all the prints, and sometimes mixing them together. To really be on trend, look for colors like pinks, purples, and other saturated colors to pair with the typical fall/winter textures and colors.

Feeling the Blues 

I’m a sucker for Barrel jeans; I have to practice restraint whenever I come across a good pair. For fall/winter 2026, jean styles that are coming back lean more towards looser (not baggy) straight leg styles, flares, and cigarette legs. Since we’re wearing boots and other chunkier shoes to keep our feet warm, these styles work perfectly to still show off your shoes while also reminding everyone why they’re classics. So dust off your old jeans or scour the thrift stores for these.
