January 2020 Food Happenings in Tampa Bay

The holiday season is finally over so we can (kinda) rest now and enjoy some new foods. There are a few healthier options to reset the body after all the indulgence from the last couple months.

We know the food scene in this part of the state is vast, so here’s the current food happenings in Tampa Bay:

4 Rivers

Through February 1st, purchase a meal including 1 Classic Slider, 1 soup, and 1 salad for $8.99. All this month, locations are offering Big Game BBQ menu pre-orders for people planning Super Bowl parties. Order those packages here. Various locations.

Cask Social Kitchen

New lunch menus and Gasparilla plans for adults and kiddies. Kids 12 and under eat free with an adult meal purchase on 1/18 and $5 Captain Morgan drink specials all day on 1/25. 208 S Howard Ave., Tampa, 813-251-0051.

Epicurean Hotel

An afternoon of Gasparilla revelry at the EDGE Rooftop Bar for their Rooftop Gasparilla Party. Admission includes drinks, complimentary parking, and small bites. Wristbands are provided to guests for re-entry. 1/25, 10am-6pm. $120 per person. 1207 S Howard Ave., Tampa, 813-999-8702.


Your other fave chicken spot introduces their Hot Hot Honey Butter Sandwich and Hot-lapeno Fries. You can find the entire meal covered in honey butter and candied jalapeño peppers. Make sure you stop by ASAP; it’s available for a limited time at all PDQ locations. Various locations.


Sharing is caring, right? Enjoy two seasonal entrées and appetizer for $52 until March 2nd. Dishes like Grilled Artichokes with Preserved Lemon Hummus and Wood-Grilled Salmon make for an interesting meal. The restaurant released their winter menu recently, which includes meals like Kona Crusted Lamb Loin and Roasted Vegetable Gnocchi. 204 N Westshore Dr., Tampa, 813-286-1152.

Whiskey Cake Tampa

The “farm-to-fork” destination is serving their winter menu, incorporating meals like Grilled Mauritius Redfish served with Harvest Squash Roast, red onion, and Cauliflower and Browned Butter Aioli, and Pickled Rachel. Brunch is expanded with new additions like Cinnamon Roll Pancakes and Grandma’s Overnight Oats. New appetizers and entrees round out the rest of the menus.
