It’s getting warmer and you know what that means…ice cream on deck for everyone! Tampa has lots of choices when it comes to getting a scoop from Revolution Ice Cream to Chill Bros to Bright Ice and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. In a few days, Jeni’s is dropping one of their most popular ice cream flavors just in time for the warm weather .

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is dropping their Everything Bagel ice cream flavor on March 21 for a limited time. Considered “the flavor that divided the internet” sold out quickly in 2021 and most folks didn’t get the chance to try it. The crazy thing is since last year, it’s been Jeni’s most requested and most-searched-for ice cream flavor. Fortunately for us in the 813rd, we have 2 chances to get them in person at their Sparkman Wharf and The Pearl locations.

Some might say “Who thought a bagel-flavored ice cream would be it?!” will eat crow when they realize it tastes just like a fresh morning bagel. The dense, salty, barely sweet cream cheese ice cream meshed with a buttery streusel (scratch made in their Columbus kitchen too btw!) loaded with sesame, poppy seeds, onions, and garlic to form a balance of sweet, salty, and savory.

Pairing everything bagel seasoning with ice cream isn’t new to Jeni’s at all. If you were a fan back in 2013, you may remember the Everything Bagel gravel that was first available as a scoop shop topping that summer. Founder Jeni Britton even has a recipe for the topping in her 2014 cookbook, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream Dessert.
