St. Petersburg’s Paradeco Coffee Roasters celebrates first anniversary this weekend

Time flies when you’re selling coffee! Located right in Downtown St. Pete, Paradeco Coffee Roasters blends Art Deco with delish coffees, baked goods, smoothies, and teas.

Paradeco Coffee Roasters celebrates their one year anniversary this month, starting off with their Latte Art Throwdown this Friday. Stop by the coffee shop from. 3 p.m.-5 p.m. as Yellow Rooster Coffee takes over the bar with their own before the main event. The Latte Art Throwdown features a latte art competition and cupping event with baristas. Sponsors include Yellowbird Foods, Bellwether Coffee, and Slow Pour.

Paradeco Coffee stands out with their commitment to sustainability. Their coffees are roasted in-house on the all-electric Bellwether Roaster, reducing 87% of the carbon footprint from roasting compared to a traditional roaster. Founders Thomas Maloney and Sonya Sarkar wanted a place where sustainability and consistency were as important as creating a space welcome to locals and visitors.

The competition is free to attend but there is a $10 buy-in for those who want to compete. Email [email protected] to sign up or sign up at the door before 6:30 p.m. Even if you’re not a huge coffee drinker or looking for a jolt of energy, come by for music, $2,000 worth of prizes, food, and drinks!

Interested in dropping by for a cup of coffee while you’re exploring, Paradeco’s hours of operation are:

Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-6 p.m.

Saturday-Sunday 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
