A Guide to Labor Day Events in Tampa Bay

The ending of summer is here (can you believe it?!) and non-humid weather is slowly starting to trickle in. Wanna get your last few moments of Hot Girl (or City Girl) Summer? These are a few Labor Day events in Tampa Bay:

Papa’s Pilar Haymaker

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Papa’s Pilar Dark Rum
  • 2 oz mango-pineapple juice
  • 0.5 oz honey
  • Ginger beer
  • Directions: Pour all ingredients in glass and top with ginger beer.

Meet Me In The Berry Patch (Created by mixologist Tara Gillum of Chillicothe, OH)

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Uncle Nearest 1856
  • 1 oz triple berry shrub
  • 2 dashes vanilla bitters
  • 1 tsp bar sugar
  • 3-4 mint leaves
  • fresh mint foam* (optional)

Directions: Muddle mint and bar sugar in a cocktail shaker. Add Uncle Nearest, bitters, shrub, and ice, and shake for 8-10 seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Combine whiskey, shrub, and bitters in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 8-10 seconds. Top with fresh mint foam, berries, and mint.

Fresh mint foam*: in a foamer, add 6 egg whites, 3 oz lemon juice, and 4 oz of peppermint schnapps. Add the top and give a vigorous shake. Chill for at least 2 hours for the best smooth consistency.

Four Roses Summer Sour

  • 1.5oz Four Roses Small Batch Select
  • 1 fl oz sour mix
  • 1 fl oz water
  • Club soda
  • Cocktail cherry

Directions: Combine bourbon, water and sour mix into a glass and stir. Top with a splash of club soda and a cherry.

Lobos 1707 Blush Martini

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Lobos 1707 Joven Tequila
  • 0.5 oz Lillet Rose
  • 0.75 oz Elderflower
  • 0.5 oz lemon juice
  • 2 strawberries

Directions: Muddle strawberries in a shaker. Add all other ingredients into the shaker with ice and shake. Double strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a strawberry fan as pictured.

Ketel One Vodka

Ingredients
●     1 ½ oz Ketel One® Family-Made Vodka
●     ½ oz fresh lemon juice
●     ½ oz fresh lime juice
●     ¾ oz coconut water syrup*
●     ¾ oz papaya nectar
●     20 drops cardamom tincture*
●     ½ teaspoon dragon fruit powder
●     3 Dashes of Bittered Sling Moondog Bitters
●     2 oz soda water
●     Garnish with lime leaf and dragon fruit chip.
Directions: Combine all ingredients, except soda water, in a shaker. Shake well to combine. Pour over fresh ice and top with soda.
