Rooftop lounge Beacon opens at JW Marriott Tampa Water Street next month

Tampa Bay is the land of rooftop bars with hella vibes. Throw a rock and you’re sure to land on one like the upcoming Beacon, a rooftop lounge that takes not only Tampa Water Street but also the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street hotel to a new level (literally and figuratively btw). Sitting on the 27th floor of the hotel, that makes Beacon Tampa’s highest (and second highest in Florida!) public rooftop bar.

“Beacon represents the culmination of our commitment to providing extraordinary experiences for locals and visitors alike,” said Ron McAnaugh, General Manager at JW Marriott Tampa Water Street. “We are excited to unveil this captivating rooftop lounge, where visitors will be able to soak in the energy of Tampa’s buzzing Water Street neighborhood from above.”

A press release says guests will enjoy “an array of well-curated offerings, featuring seasonal flavors and local ingredients.” Beacon’s dishes and craft cocktails are all thanks to Sous Chef Roy Bryant and an award-winning mixology team. Look out for the sure-to-be guest favorite cocktails like the Zalamero, created with Don Fulano Reposado Tequila and Galliano Espresso liqueur and The Rising Sun, which features sesame and yuzu plus Roku Japanese Gin and pineapple.

The extensive menu includes dishes like house-baked tartness topped with crème fraiche, caviar, and smoked salmon; or the artisanal charcuterie prepared in the exposition kitchen.

Catch the vibe (or be the vibe) in one of its four unique spaces including a lush, shaded terrace overlooking Tampa Bay. Just FYI, on non-event night, guest parking will be validated for up to three hours in valet.

Beacon joins JW Marriott Tampa Water Street’s other dining options:

  • Driftlight Steakhouse: fine aged steaks and locally sourced ocean-to-table
  • SiX: Chef-crafted specialties with indoor and outdoor dining
  • TURNTABLE: A grab-and-go spot serving a rotating selection of Tampa’s food and drink scene every season

Beacon is slated to open next month and will be open daily from 5 p.m. until late.
