New restaurant Juno & the Peacock and cocktail lounge Pluma opening this summer
Shawn and Jeanna Damkoehler, owners of St. Pete’s Mediterranean-Aegean restaurant Allelo, add restaurant Juno & the Peacock and cocktail lounge Pluma to their list of area hotspots when both concepts open this summer.
Juno & the Peacock’s highly anticipated grand opening introduces guests to “New American Coastal” cuisine. Inspired by the cautionary tale Aesop’s Fable, the upcoming new hotspot wants to show off all the Sunshine City has given us: locally-sourced ingredients prepared in-house and enjoyed in a comfy setting across from North Straub Park and The Vinoy Resort & Golf Club.
“Having lived here all my life, I am incredibly proud to contribute to the growth of St. Pete and bring new dining experiences to my hometown,” said co-owner Jeanna. “It has been a labor of love, bringing together experts in every field, from the design firm to the culinary and beverage teams, to create an entirely new culinary destination in the Tampa Bay area. We can’t wait to unveil the concepts in a few short months and are confident our vision and attention to detail will impress.”
A press release says the dishes “captivate guests with its vibrant and diverse flavors and textures.” The menu ranges from American fare like dry-aged steaks to modern coastal foods like seared grouper and crab bakes.
A drink menu pays homage to mixology’s evolution with drinks spanning the decades from the Singapore Sling to the ever-popular Espresso Martini. Juno & the Peacock’s cocktail lounge Pluma introduces guests to drinks from Lima to Tulum, wines by the glass (a carefully curated selection featuring over 1,400 choices) and light bites.
Both concepts will be able to sit up to 268 guests with indoor and outdoor seating. Juno & the Peacock will be open daily for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.
