Taverna Costale celebrate 4 years in St. Pete this weekend
Downtown St. Pete’s coastal Italian dining restaurant Taverna Costale celebrates its 4th anniversary this weekend with a series of events featuring celebrity chef Fabio Viviani.
Social media followers got a bit of sneak peek and update on this weekend’s festivities.
“Following our fabulous four year ribbon cutting ceremony and happy hour on January 18th, explore four courses of rich chef-crafted flavors perfectly paired with wines,” said a recent Instagram post.
The celebration, titled “Costale’s Fabulous Four Years with Fabo Viviani”, includes the following events:
4:00 p.m.-Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
4:30 p.m.-Happy Hour Meet & Greet with Celebrity Chef Fabio Viviani
Guests have the opportunity to mix and mingle with Viviani while indulging in complimentary bubbly and light bites. Taverna Costale’s signature happy hour specials will also be available during the evening.
6:00 p.m.-Anniversary Wine Dinner with Chef Fabio Viviani & Sommelier Fabrizio Di Rienzo
This ticketed, multi-course dinner highlights coastal Italian cuisine and local ingredients with wine pairings from Italy and beyond. Here’s what to expect on the menu:
Diver Scallop Crudo
Montenegro citrus, infused aromatic oils, micros
Wine Pairing: La Gioisa Prosecco Rosé, Veneto, Italy
Lobster & Crab Ravioli
Spicy tomato créme, basil tuile, tomato olive cruda
Wine Pairing: Villa Sparina Gavi di Gavi, Piemonte, Italy
Potato-Crusted Ravioli
Preserved lemon beurre blanc, smoked raspberries, micros
Wine Pairing: Fontanafredda “Silver Label” Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Bourbon-Soaked Pecan Pie
Crème anglaise, bourbon caramel, vanilla gelato
Wine Pairing: SA Prüm “Essence” Riesling, Mosel, Germany
FYI, the ribbon cutting and happy hour are free to attend, reservations are required on OpenTable. Tickets for the Anniversary Wine Dinner are $100 per person and can be found on OpenTable.
