SAVOR St. Pete returns, attracts chefs and culinary talent in Tampa Bay
SAVOR St. Pete returns to St. Pete this fall with new local culinary talent, celebrity chef appearances, elevated tastings, crafted cocktails and more. Founder Tammy Gail had the vision more than a decade ago of an event that celebrates local chefs while attracting nationally recognized culinary talent to experience and contribute to the area’s growing food culture.
“Over the last few years, we’ve seen incredible growth throughout Tampa Bay’s restaurant community, and it’s exciting to watch so many talented chefs invest in this region,” said Gail. “SAVOR is proud to showcase the chefs, restaurants and culinary talent that are putting Tampa Bay on the national food map. Each year, the festival brings together established favorites and rising stars, giving guests a true taste of the creativity and innovation driving our region’s dining scene.”
Among this year’s featured culinary personalities are Chef Paul Wahlberg, co-owner of Wahlburgers, and Chef Jing Gao, founder and CEO of Fly By Jing. Both chefs will take the San Pellegrino Cooking Stage for live cooking demos alongside other nationally recognized culinary talent. They will be joined by an impressive lineup of Tampa Bay-area chefs, including Chef Lee Aquino, executive chef and culinary director of Birch & Vine and this year’s SAVOR St. Pete Chef Ambassador, and Chef Hans Bien-Aime of Parasol.
SAVOR St. Pete remains committed to giving back to the community. Each year, the festival donates to support local breast cancer initiatives and with this year’s $10,000 donation, the festival will have contributed more than $140,000 towards the cause, one close to Gail’s heart as a breast cancer survivor. Another cause close to the festival is sustainability. SAVOR St. Pete incorporates compostable serveware, responsible food donation efforts and waste reduction initiatives to reduce its environmental footprint.
SAVOR St. Pete will take place at Vinoy Park in St. Pete November 7-8 with special VIP access beginning at 12 p.m. GA tickets cost $135 and include unlimited food, wine and beer tastings, live DJ, a commemorative wine glass with lanyard and a tote bag. VIP tickets are $165 and include early admission, access to the exclusive Publix VIP Spirits Lounge and premium festival experiences. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at savortheburg.com.
