Drift Cocktails, ready-to-drink cocktail brand, officially launches in Florida

I love a good little cocktail…someting fruity, colorful, sweet, and, most of all, IG-worthy. What’s cool now are brands are popping up with ready-to-drink cocktails we can enjoy right in the comfort of our own homes.

Brand Drift cocktails founder and expert distiller Doug Mulford had the idea of a convenient, quality cocktail over the last couple decades. After a trip hiking the Appalachian Trail, Drift was born. While similar drinks may have a high sugar content, Drift uses the entire fruit from zest to pulp during the entire distillation process, keeping calories low without missing out on flavor.

Drift is so much more than refreshing cocktails,” says Mulford. “I couldn’t be more proud of our dedication to creating a brand that celebrates the ingredients that go into them. I’ve been rooted in the beverage world for a long time and have always been fascinated by how ingredients react with one another; that mindset combined with our emphasis on health, quality and process is what really sets Drift apart.”

The cocktails are made from natural ingredients like corn, sugarcane, and fruit sourced from places including North Carolina, Virgin Islands, Jamaica, and Mexico. Drift cocktails come in four flavors:

  • Blood Orange: organic vodka mixed with blood oranges, creating a sweet, refreshing, and unique flavor.
  • Passion Fruit Rum: Virgin Islands white rum with natural passion fruit and guava…FYI, passion fruit offers health benefits like vitamins and nutrients.
  • Tequila Lime: blue agave blanco tequila with natural lime
  • Meyer Lemon: another organic vodka concoction with natural Meyer lemon

The Blood Orange flavor debuted in South Carolina last summer and became super popular. Seltzer Nation called it “the cure for passionate thirst” for its “alluring, crisp taste taking consumers on a fulfilling flavor adventure.”

Starting Feb. 16, you can find Drift in select stores, supermarkets, and independent retailers in South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia. Expansion is planned throughout this year with a goal of being nationwide by 2024.
